Dr. John Buchheister
Dr. "B"
Dr. “B” as our patients fondly call him is a 1975 graduate of the University Of Detroit School Of Dentistry.
Dr. Buchheister has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years in this same practice. When he is not here, he is busy teaching at U of D Mercy, Baker College, and WCCC in their Dental Assisting programs.
Dr. Buchheister has always been active in organized dentistry, being an advocate for uninsured and underserved children and adults. He was instrumental in the promotion of Give Kids A Smile in Michigan, and his office has been used as a prototype for many of the events, all over the state. While President of the Michigan Dental Association, Dr. B used his position to advocate and lobby to help make dentistry accessible for all people, especially the poor. He has participated in Donated Dental Services, Tri County Dental, and founded a free dental clinic in Pontiac for Grace Centers of Hope, based on a dream of Dr. Gary Burnstein. The clinic is in the Burnstein Clinic in Pontiac, Michigan.
Dr. Buchheister and his wife, have beautiful daughter Alyssa who is finishing up her residency to be an Emergency Room Physician.
Away from the office, Dr. Buchheister is an avid golfer and bridge player.
